How It All Began...

It All Began...
In 2003, when George Chararis (guitars), Thodoris Berberoglou (bass), Ilias Michailakis (vocals), Gabriel Kostakis (guitars) and Bill Xirokostas (drums) decided to meet in the studio and play for fun some famous songs. Later they continued to do rehearsals with songs, such as Wasting Love (Iron Maiden), We're Not Gonna Take It (Twisted Sister), Watching Over Me (Iced Earth) and they saw that they were doing fine! But later there where some changes in the band. Bill Xirokostas left due to the fact that he was playing in 4 other bands (including Strikelight and Vice Human) and he didn't have time to continue with the Spirits and his place was taken by Tasos (we don't know his last name). A month later Gabriel left and the band continued with only one guitar. So the new line-up was: Ilias Michailakis - Vocals, George Chararis - Guitars, Thodoris Berberoglou - Bass and Tasos - Drums. Two months later the band decided to tell Tasos to leave because he didn't fit in their style and Bill Xirokostas returned and took his place in the drums. A few months later Apostolis Spanoudis (guitars) joined the band playing mostly the rythm guitars. So the new line-up became: Ilias Michailakis - Vocals, George Chararis - Guitars, Apostolis Spanoudis - Guitars, Thodoris Berberoglou - Bass and Bill Xirokostas - Drums. A few months later Thodoris Berberoglou decided to leave the band due to personal reasons and his place was taken by Nick Dienis (guitars) who firstly played the bass guitar but later he switched roles with George Chararis, who took his place on the bass. They started to work some old and some new songs of their own and they saw that they were playing better and they had more power with the current line-up. The songs are based on heavy, power, progressive and aor metal and the lyrics are mostly christian and white. On January 2006 they released their first demo "A Guardian Angel" which included 4 songs (3 full length and 1 intro). The recordings were made at Militou (Home) Studios. After that, Bill left the band due to personal reasons but on February 2007 they made their first live at Onoma tou Rodou (Kallithea - Athens), in which they were headliners, with Dinos Myaris temporarily on the drums.
After the live, some of the band's members were required to attend the army, so the band project was put on hold. Many departures followed, but the strength and will to continue the band project remained. So, at 2009, Spyros Sklavenitis (Drums) and Stavros Birbilopoulos (Guitar) joined the group. The new year (2010) brought the band into new paths and they discovered new musical influences. The addition of Aggelos Galanopoulos (Bass) as their new bass player was the final achievement before a great live at Jamming Festival (15/5/2010). After the live, Spyros had to leave the band, as he had to attend army training.
Two months later, Ilias Patrinos filled in the drummer position.
